The Smiths

 

 

In these days I have listened The Smiths a lot and I really liked it.When I listened to this group for the first timet I thought that I won't like it, but I was wrong. The first song that I listened was "Asleep" and I discovered it because it was named in a book that I was reading: "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." From there, I discovered new songs, really good songs that I liked so much.

 

The smiths is an alternative rock band that was formed in Manchester in 1982. The style of this band is really different and I love it. Above all I adore the voice of the lead singer, Morrissey.

His voice is distinct and only.

 

This band has become one of my favourite for its style, above all. And their songs are really good. Some of the songs that I like the most are the next:

-This Charming Man

-I Know It's Over

-Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now

-Cementery Gates

 

Among others...

 

This is a band that deserves to be listened because is really good.

Imagine Dragons

 

 

I'm going to speak about one of my favourite groups.

Imagine Dragons is an american band that was created in 2008. This band shocked everyone when it was created and it was very successful. It had excellent reviews too.

There are four members in this band and they are:

• Dan Reynolds (vocals, percussion, guitar)
• Ben McKee (bass, chorus)
• Wayne Sermon (guitar, chorus, cello)
• Daniel Platzman (drums, violin, chorus)

 

They are the actually members, but in their start they had other members (Andrew Tolman and Brittany Tolman)

 

The greatest hits of Imagine Dragons have been "Radioactive" above all, "Demons" and "It's Time".

 

 

 

 

I love the music and the style of this band and I hear them everyday.

Gossip Girl

 

 

 

Gossip Girl is an american series created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage and it was released in The CW in 2007 and it was finished in 2012.

 

The series deals with the life of a group of teenagers that live in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, in New York. The main characters are Serena van der Woodsen, Blair Waldorf, Chuck Bass, Nate Archibald, Vanessa Abrams, Dan Humphrey and Jenny Humphrey. In this series, we could see all the problems that they have to deal with, in each episode, there are more problems to solve. These problems are about love, friendship, school, money...

But the interesting thing in this series, is that in the social networks, there is a girl who is called "Gossip Girl", and how her name says, she is dedícate to write in her blog all the gossip and secrets most hidden of these teenagers. But nobody knows who is she. It is something that we will know along the series.

My favourite character is Blair Waldorf, because she is very clever and she knows how to solve each situation.
In my opinion, this is a great series and very entertaining. When I watched it, I was totally hooked to it. I totally recommend it.
 

 



Linkin Park 

Linkin Park is an american rock band from California that was formed in 1996. The band was initially formed by Mike Shinoda, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon and Mark Wakefield (lead voice).

Since their initiation, this band has been very criticized for its style and the people said Linkin Park was too comercial, but they have also received very good comments of important musicians. 

But in my opinion, Linkin Park is one of my favourite american rock bands and it has been one of my favourite since I was a child because I like the style, I think that they use and style that any groups have used yet. In their songs, sometimes, mixed the rock with a little of rap or some electronic music. 

They have changed their style along their career, but always retain their essence that make them unique.

My favourite album is Meteora, I think is in this album where they have showed the best they can do, even the other albums are really good too. 

Indie Music: 


Different genres are called independent music of most popular of indie music for many reasons: 

-The group that interprets that genre is not linked to market circuits.
-The group makes music by artistic vocation, not comercial. 
-The artistic proces is controlled by the musicians and record companies not interfer. 

These are many of the reasons, inter others.

One of the groups that I like more of this genre is the Arctic Monkey. 
Arctic Monkeys is an indie rock band formed in Sheffield, United Kingdom. The group is compound by the vocalist Alex Turner, the guitarist Jamie Cook, the drumer Matt Helders and the bassist Nick O'Malley. 
Their first album  "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not" was the best british album. 


My favourite songs of this group are for example, "Stop The World I Wanna Get Off With You", "Arabella", "Do I wanna Know" or "Are you Mine". 

I really like Alex Turner's voice. 

Other group that I enjoy listen to is Death Cab For Cutie

Death Cab For Cutie is an indie pop-rock band formed in Washington.

The songs that I like most are "Soul meets body", "I Will Follow You Into the Dark", "What Sarah Said", or the most popular, "Someday You Will Be Loved"

The big bang theory.

The big bang theory is an american comedy. It was released in 2007. It has eight seasons with a total of 169 chapters.

The serie is focus on Leonard and Sheldon. They are two physics very smart and brilliant in their job and they have two friends, Howard and Raj that are presented as a complete "geeks". And they have a neighbor, Penny, that is the opposite of they. She is pretty, sociable and she doesn't understand anything of physic. But Leonard falls in love with her.

The serie shows a lot of comic situations and references about principles and theories about physic.
Also appears comic references about series and films like Star Treck, Doctor Who, Star Wars..., videogames, comics, operative systems, internet and rol games like the famous "Dungeons and Dragons."
Because this, there are many people that says this serie is for "geek" people, but in my opinion there is a really good serie that I would recommend to all type of people because is very entertaining. In fact, this is one of my favourite series.

The actors that interpret the main characters are the next: Johnny Galecki (Leonard), Jim Parsons (Sheldon), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Simon Helberg (Howard), Kunal Nayyar (Raj). 

Of course, there are more characters that appears but they are secondary or appears only in one or two seasons. 

Finally, I want to mentionate the opening of this serie. The theme is called "The History of Everything" and it describes the developments the universe has undergone since the dawn of time. I really like it.

Today I'm going to speak about  the anime.
The word anime (アニメ) was created in Japan to name a style of animation. Is the term that identifies the animation of japanese precedence. 

Today I'm going to focus on one of the gender of the anime: Meitantei (detective genre) 
And I'm going to become with a one of my favourite series of this gender--> Death Note. 
Death Note (デスノート Desu Nōto) is a manga serie that was adapted to anime by Tetsuro Araki. The publication started in 2003 and finished in 2006, so it isn't a recent serie. 
Is a very famous serie in the young people, in fact, is one of the most view series. It has 37 chapters. 

The story centers on the world of gods of death (shinigamis), and one of them, Ryuk, is bored and drops his "Death Note" ( if you write the name of a person in a Death Note and you know his face, the person dies in a few minutes) in the human world. 
And in the meantime, in Kanto (Japan), Light Yagami, picks up the Death Note and with it, the story begins. 
Light Yagami at first is a very good student, excellent son and with the best marks in all Japan but when he realises that the Death Note is real, that it works, gives a change to his life and begins to kill criminals to create the "New World" as he calls it and he wants to be the God of this New World. He use the nickname "Kira". The police begins to realize what is happening and they begin to investigate who is the murderer, because to they, kill criminals is not fair, because if you kill, you became a criminal too. 
They investigate the case with the best private detective of Japan that not reveal his identity. His nickname is "L". Kira can't kill he because he don't know his name and is very difficult to know. 

The interesting of the story is that begins to complicate more and more, and we could see the battle of both (Kira and L) to be the justice. Who will win? Who do you think will win? Will L discover the identity of Kira finally? 

In my opinion it's a interesting serie and very entertaining. Is a very good serie to begin to watch anime series, in fact, this it the first anime serie that I saw. 

Finally, I want to mentionate the song of this serie because they are really good and I like them so much. The two openings on the serie are fantastic. The first opening of the serie is "The world" and the second is "What's up people" . I like the second more. And the endings are "Alumina" and  "Zetsubou Billy".
