Imagine Dragons

 

 

I'm going to speak about one of my favourite groups.

Imagine Dragons is an american band that was created in 2008. This band shocked everyone when it was created and it was very successful. It had excellent reviews too.

There are four members in this band and they are:

• Dan Reynolds (vocals, percussion, guitar)
• Ben McKee (bass, chorus)
• Wayne Sermon (guitar, chorus, cello)
• Daniel Platzman (drums, violin, chorus)

 

They are the actually members, but in their start they had other members (Andrew Tolman and Brittany Tolman)

 

The greatest hits of Imagine Dragons have been "Radioactive" above all, "Demons" and "It's Time".

 

 

 

 

I love the music and the style of this band and I hear them everyday.

Linkin Park 

Linkin Park is an american rock band from California that was formed in 1996. The band was initially formed by Mike Shinoda, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon and Mark Wakefield (lead voice).

Since their initiation, this band has been very criticized for its style and the people said Linkin Park was too comercial, but they have also received very good comments of important musicians. 

But in my opinion, Linkin Park is one of my favourite american rock bands and it has been one of my favourite since I was a child because I like the style, I think that they use and style that any groups have used yet. In their songs, sometimes, mixed the rock with a little of rap or some electronic music. 

They have changed their style along their career, but always retain their essence that make them unique.

My favourite album is Meteora, I think is in this album where they have showed the best they can do, even the other albums are really good too. 

Today, I want to speak totally about music. I am going to focus on the rock gender.
This gender appeared in the United States, in 1950s and developed into a range of different styles in the 1960s and became famous to big part of the world. Musically, rock has centered on the electric guitar, usually as part of a rock group with electric bass guitar and drums.

Now, I want to speak about some groups very famous of this gender and recomendate some of their songs. 

The first group is Queen:
Queen is a rock band formed in 1970 in London by the guitarrist Brian May, the singer Freddy Mercury and the drummer Roger Taylor and with bassist John Deacon the next year. 

Their actuation in the Live Aid concert in 1985 was chosen as the best rock actuation through a musical survey.
A very famous song of this group that we all know is "The Show Must Go On".
Other songs very famous also are: "Don't Stop Me Now", "We Will Rock You", "I Want To Break Free" or "Somebody to Love" among others. Their songs are really catchy.

The second group The Rolling Stones:

This is a very famous group too. Is a british rock band native of London. The band was formed in 1962 by Brian Jones and then joined Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ian Stewart, Geoff Bradford and Dick Taylor. Tony Chapman was the drummer during their first presentations. After the exit of Bradford, Taylor and Chapman, joined the bassist Bill Wyman and the drummer Charlie Watts. On request of the manager, Stewart was retired in 1963. They are considerated one of the biggest and influential groups of the history of rock, being the group that seated the bases of contemporary rock. 

There are many of their songs: 

"Painted it Black", "Angie", "Satisfaction", "Start me Up" or "Sympathy for the Devil" among others. 

And the final group is Led Zeppelin: 

Led Zeppelin is a british rock band considerated one of the most important of this gender and one of the most popular during 70s. This band was formed in 1968 by the guitarrist Jimmy Page, the vocalist Robert Plant and the drummer John Bonham. 

Many of their songs are "Stairway to Heaven", "Going to California", "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You", "Heartbreaker" or "Fool in the Rain" among others.
