This gender appeared in the United States, in 1950s and developed into a range of different styles in the 1960s and became famous to big part of the world. Musically, rock has centered on the electric guitar, usually as part of a rock group with electric bass guitar and drums.
Now, I want to speak about some groups very famous of this gender and recomendate some of their songs.
The first group is Queen:
Queen is a rock band formed in 1970 in London by the guitarrist Brian May, the singer Freddy Mercury and the drummer Roger Taylor and with bassist John Deacon the next year.
A very famous song of this group that we all know is "The Show Must Go On".
Other songs very famous also are: "Don't Stop Me Now", "We Will Rock You", "I Want To Break Free" or "Somebody to Love" among others. Their songs are really catchy.
The second group The Rolling Stones:
This is a very famous group too. Is a british rock band native of London. The band was formed in 1962 by Brian Jones and then joined Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ian Stewart, Geoff Bradford and Dick Taylor. Tony Chapman was the drummer during their first presentations. After the exit of Bradford, Taylor and Chapman, joined the bassist Bill Wyman and the drummer Charlie Watts. On request of the manager, Stewart was retired in 1963. They are considerated one of the biggest and influential groups of the history of rock, being the group that seated the bases of contemporary rock.
There are many of their songs:
"Painted it Black", "Angie", "Satisfaction", "Start me Up" or "Sympathy for the Devil" among others.
And the final group is Led Zeppelin:
Led Zeppelin is a british rock band considerated one of the most important of this gender and one of the most popular during 70s. This band was formed in 1968 by the guitarrist Jimmy Page, the vocalist Robert Plant and the drummer John Bonham.
Many of their songs are "Stairway to Heaven", "Going to California", "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You", "Heartbreaker" or "Fool in the Rain" among others.
